In unserem Test \u00fcberzeugt die dritte Generation der Ausdauer-Sportuhr, die ein tolles Farbdisplay bekommen hat. Hier sind nicht nur eigene Watchfaces m\u00f6glich, auch die Werte, die die Uhr misst, sind wieder sehr genau. Die Akkulaufzeit ist hervorragend. class=\"list-icon-chevron-right\">Das neue <strong>Farbdisplay<\/strong> ist ausgezeichnet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"list-icon-chevron-right\">Die <strong>t\u00e4glichen \u00dcbersichten<\/strong> auf verwirren. Zur Einordnung: Die Garmin Instinct 3 Amoled ist \u2013 wenig \u00fcberraschend \u2013 eine Watch der <strong>dritten Instinct-Generation<\/strong>. Die Watch aus unserem Test hat ein 50mm-Display (1,3 Zoll) und die auff\u00e4llige Farbe twilight\/neo tropic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Display und Geh\u00e4use<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das Geh\u00e4use besteht aus <strong>bruch- und kratzfestem Glas<\/strong> (&#8222;chemisch geh\u00e4rtet&#8220;), sowie einem <strong>metallverst\u00e4rkten Geh\u00e4use<\/strong> und <strong>faserverst\u00e4rktem Polymer<\/strong>. Staub- und <strong>wasserfest bis 10 ATM<\/strong> (100 m) ist es auch. Auch nicht selbstverst\u00e4ndlich: Einen zweifachen <strong>Saunagang<\/strong> (2x 15 min) bei etwa 82 Grad \u00fcbersteht die Instinct 3 Amoled ohne Beschwerden. Im Connect-IQ-Store gibt es sogar einen passenden Saunatimer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Auf Wunsch kannst du ein <strong>Always-on-Display<\/strong> einschalten. Dann verringert sich die <strong>24-t\u00e4gige Akkulaufzeit<\/strong> \u2013 die wir best\u00e4tigen k\u00f6nnen \u2013 allerdings auf 9 Tage, und damit w\u00fcrde die Watch einen ihrer Hauptvorteile verlieren. Wieder aufgeladen ist die Uhr dank des mitgelieferten Ladekabels (propriet\u00e4r auf USB-C) <strong>in knapp 2 Stunden<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ein leichtes <strong>Drehen des Handgelenks<\/strong> schaltet das Display ziemlich zuverl\u00e4ssig ein, ein blo\u00dfes Anheben leider nicht immer. <strong>Hell genug ist das Display immer<\/strong>, auch bei glei\u00dfendem Sonnenlicht. Sie bietet deutlich mehr Licht als ein aufgehelltes Display.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die in dieser Version <strong>59 Gramm schwere und 5 mal 5 cm gro\u00dfe Uhr<\/strong> (bei 1,14 cm Dicke) ist schon ein ziemlicher Brummer am Handgelenk. Uns gef\u00e4llt die Gr\u00f6\u00dfe allerdings durchaus, auch dank des angenehmen Tragekomforts der Uhr und der wechselbaren Silikon-Armb\u00e4nder. Hier ist alles prima ablesbar, farbenfroh und immer hell genug. Beim Schlafen st\u00f6rt die Uhr nach kurzer Eingew\u00f6hnung nicht. Die Instinct 3 Amoled erkennt in unserem Test etwa <strong>nicht jedes Nickerchen<\/strong> und <strong>trackt beim Schlafen ausgerechnet die Sauerstoffs\u00e4ttigung nicht<\/strong> dauerhaft mit. Auch eine automatische Erkennung von Aktivit\u00e4ten fehlt uns bei der Uhr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zwar sch\u00f6n, dass Garmin ein <strong>Thermometer<\/strong> in die Uhr integriert hat. Aber was misst die genau? Denn viele Apps erfordern einen Touchscreen, und den haben die Instinct-Watches nicht. Au\u00dferdem waren Instinct-Watches vor der Instinct 3 Amoled monochrom oder hatten Elemente auf der Front, die kein vollfl\u00e4chiges Display erlaubten. Das Angebot f\u00fcr Apps verbessert sich f\u00fcr Instinct-Watches also nur langsam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-3 Navigations-Apps <strong>Komoot<\/strong>, <strong>Outdooractive <\/strong>und <strong>Wikilo<\/strong>c, eine Kalender-App, <strong>Zyklustracking<\/strong>, <strong>GoPro Camera Control <\/strong>(Fernausl\u00f6ser f\u00fcr GoPro-Actioncams), <strong>GarminHomeAssistant<\/strong>, HassControl und einige weitere Smart-Home-Steuerungen. Auch einige <strong>Spiele<\/strong> gibt es: Schach, die Actionspiele AstroBlast, <strong>NinjaSwipe<\/strong> oder einen Alco Tracker. Der Spa\u00df, damit auf der tastenbasierten Instinct ohne Touchscreen zu spielen, ist allerdings begrenzt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dazu fehlen viele Apps, die Sven vorgestellt hat. So etwa alle Musikstreaming-Dienste \u2013\u00a0du kannst die Musik lediglich mehr schlecht als recht f\u00fcr das gekoppelte Smartphone steuern (s.u.). <strong>Es fehlen viele Smart-Home-Steuerungen<\/strong> und leider auch Strava, die beliebte Social-Sport-App.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Gut ist immerhin, dass <strong>Garmin Connect IQ lediglich die verf\u00fcgbaren Apps<\/strong> f\u00fcr die Instinct 3 Amoled anzeigt, so dass keine falschen Hoffnungen entstehen. Das war bei fr\u00fcheren Instinct-Watches noch der Fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"usability\">Bedienung: Hat ihre T\u00fccken<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wer von einer anderen Smartwatch oder einem Sporttracker kommt, wundert sich im ersten Moment \u00fcber die <strong>komplexe Steuerung<\/strong> der Garmin Instinct 3 Amoled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Instinct-Watches kommen traditionell <strong>ohne Touchscreen<\/strong> daher. Ganze <strong>f\u00fcnf Tasten<\/strong>, teils doppelt, teils sogar dreifach belegt, sorgen f\u00fcr die Steuerung. Trotz fr\u00fcherer Garmin-Watches im Test, dauerte es bei uns Tage, bis wir die Steuerung durchdrungen hatten. Das bekommen andere Hersteller einfacher hin. Einmal gelernt, dann f\u00fcr immer geliebt? (Grafik: J\u00fcrgen Vielmeier)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Steuerung der Instinct 3 Amoled<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die Garmin Instinct 3 Amoled steuerst du so:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Ein Druck auf die Men\u00fc-Taste links<\/strong> (oder die ABC-Taste darunter) \u00f6ffnet die Widget-\u00dcbersicht.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Die mehrfach belegten Men\u00fc- oder ABC-Kn\u00f6pfe<\/strong> dienen auch zum <strong>Hoch- oder Runterscrollen (Up\/Down)<\/strong> zwischen den Widgets.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Um ein Widget auszuw\u00e4hlen und dir weitere Infos anzuzeigen, dr\u00fcckst du oben rechts auf den <strong>Start-Stop-Knopf<\/strong>, der mit der GPS-Funktion doppelt belegt ist.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Um in die <strong>Aktivit\u00e4ts-\u00dcbersicht<\/strong> zu gelangen, dr\u00fcckst du ebenfalls auf den Start\/Stop-Knopf.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Zwischen den Aktivit\u00e4ten<\/strong> scrollst du wieder mit den Up\/Down-Tasten hoch oder runter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Um eine Aktivit\u00e4t zu starten<\/strong> und danach wieder zu beenden, dr\u00fcckst du erneut die Start\/Stop-Taste.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mit der Back-Taste<\/strong> unten rechts gelangst du immer wieder zur\u00fcck zum Zifferblatt, au\u00dfer w\u00e4hrend eines Mehrstufigen-Workouts wie Laufen oder Yoga. Hier wird die <strong>Zur\u00fcck-Taste zur Set-Taste<\/strong>, etwa, um beim Yoga die n\u00e4chste Figur auszuf\u00fchren oder beim Laufen die n\u00e4chste Runde zu starten.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Das ist nicht unbedingt \u00fcbersichtlich, aber nach einiger Zeit schon logisch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zwei Men\u00fcs: Widgets und Aktivit\u00e4ten<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Komplizierter ist die Men\u00fcf\u00fchrung an sich. <strong>Denn es gibt zwei Men\u00fcs: eins f\u00fcr Widgets, eins f\u00fcr Aktivit\u00e4ten.<\/strong> Neue Widgets f\u00fcgst du aber entweder \u00fcber das Aktivit\u00e4tenmen\u00fc hinzu oder ganz unten im Widget-Men\u00fc, wohin es leider keine Abk\u00fcrzung gibt. Die <strong>Einstellungen findest du<\/strong> wiederum nicht unter den Widgets, sondern in den Aktivit\u00e4ten (oder indem du die Men\u00fctaste lange dr\u00fcckst).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nach der M\u00f6glichkeit, <strong>schnell eine neue Sportart hinzuzuf\u00fcgen<\/strong>, haben wir eine ganze Weile gesucht. Am Ende ist der Trick vergleichsweise einfach:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dr\u00fccke auf Start\/Stop<\/strong> und dann die Up-Taste, um zum Ende der Liste zur\u00fcckzuspringen. Scrolle mit Down eins runter und klicke dann bei &#8222;Hinzuf\u00fcgen&#8220; auf die Start\/Stop-Taste.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hier zeigt die Uhr dir nun weitere Sportarten an<\/strong>, teils in Untermen\u00fcs, die du mit einem Druck auf die Start\/Stop-Taste ins Aktivit\u00e4ten-Men\u00fc hinzuf\u00fcgen kannst.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Je nach App rufst du diese entweder \u00fcber die Widgets oder die Aktivit\u00e4ten auf. <strong>Komoot etwa<\/strong> findest du in beiden \u00dcbersichten. <strong>Einige installierte Apps erscheinen sp\u00e4ter als Aktivit\u00e4t, andere als Widget.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Zifferbl\u00e4tter w\u00e4hlst du in der Garmin-Connect- oder Connect-IQ-App aus (das sind jeweils zwei verschiedene Apps f\u00fcr Android oder iOS). Aber trotz des freundlicherweise mitgelieferten USB-C-Kabels wollte kein angeschlossenes Ger\u00e4t die Watch erkennen. Mac, iPhone und auch ein Android-Phone weigerten sich, aufgenommene Screenshots zu \u00fcbertragen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Und auch der Weg dahin, die <strong>Screenshot-Funktion freizuschalten<\/strong> ist steinig. Herunterladen kannst du sie, wenn du das <strong>Ladekabel mit einem kompatiblen PC verbindest<\/strong>. Hat in unserem Falle mangels eines Windows-PCs leider nicht geklappt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ist der Weg dorthin praktisch? Wir finden nein. Es ist \u00e4hnlich wie die Tatsache, dass bei der Ersteinrichtung und auch bei vielen Funktionen sp\u00e4ter, wie dem Gaming-Coach, das <strong>imperiale System<\/strong> (Meilen, Feet usw.) vorausgew\u00e4hlt ist. Obwohl wir da bereits Deutsch als Sprache ausgew\u00e4hlt hatten. Was soll so etwas?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Musiksteuerung: Grenzen der Men\u00fcf\u00fchrung<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Die <strong>Grenzen des Men\u00fckonzepts<\/strong> zeigt auch die <strong>Musiksteuerung<\/strong> auf. Die synchronisiert via Bluetooth mit der Musik-App deines Smartphones und dort etwa mit Spotify oder Amazon Music. Um einen Song vorzuskippen, musst du aber zun\u00e4chst ins Widget-Men\u00fc gehen, dort zur Musiksteuerung scrollen, diese mit dem Start\/Stop-Knopf ausw\u00e4hlen und dann den Song pausieren oder nach vorne skippen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Um zur\u00fcckzuskippen, musst du zun\u00e4chst die Up-Taste dr\u00fccken, worauf ein Untermen\u00fc folgt, in dem du &#8222;Zur\u00fcck&#8220; erst \u00fcber die Up\/Down-Tasten ausw\u00e4hlen kannst.
