Offiziellen Angaben zufolge soll die R\u00fcckrufaktion bald beginnen und alle \u00e4lteren Surface Pro-Modelle betreffen, die vor dem 15. Juli 2015 gekauft wurden. Channelnomics berichtet dar\u00fcber, dass Microsoft ab dem 22. Januar 2016 auf Wunsch der Konsumenten neue Netzteile f\u00fcr das Surface Pro, Surface Pro 2 und Surface Pro 3 verschickt, sofern diese betroffen sind. Als Grund wird angegeben, dass es zu einer m\u00f6glichen \u00dcberhitzung der Kabel kommen kann, sofern man diese l\u00e4ngere Zeit zu fest gewickelt, eingeklemmt oder verdreht hat. Gemeint ist konkret das Netzkabel zur Steckdose, nicht das eigentliche Netzteil, das zum Surface f\u00fchrt.<\/p>\n

Allen Anschein nach sind von diesem Makel die letzten Surface Pro 3-Varianten nicht betroffen, die kurz vor dem Erscheinen des Surface Pro 4 vergangenen Herbst in den Handel kamen. Da es sich um eine freiwillige Umtauschaktion handelt, d\u00fcrfte das Problem vermutlich nicht allzu gravierend zu sein. K\u00e4ufer k\u00f6nnen also selbst entscheiden, ob sie an einem Tausch interessiert sind.<\/p>\n

Fraglich ist, wie viele Ger\u00e4te letztlich betroffen sind. Es d\u00fcrften aber weltweit ein paar Millionen Surface Pro-Modelle mit potentiell (!) gef\u00e4hrlichen Netzkabeln ausgeliefert worden sein. Von einer akuten Brandgefahr ist allerdings nicht die Rede, es besteht jedoch eine\u00a0 gewisse Wahrscheinlichkeit.<\/p>\n
