Trotz einiger Schw\u00e4chen wie dem Akku hatte Samsung hier sehr viel richtig gemacht. Nun liegt der Nach-Nachfolger Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G auf meinem Tisch. Und siehe da: Samsung hat die Akkulaufzeit deutlich verbessert. Das Display und die Kameratechnik auch. K\u00f6nnte das wieder Leidenschaft werden? Das klingt fast so gro\u00df, wie fr\u00fcher einmal Tablets waren. Doch weil Samsung einen sehr l\u00e4nglichen Formfaktor gew\u00e4hlt hat und das Ger\u00e4t zudem noch flach ist, lie\u00df es sich mit meinen mittelgro\u00dfen H\u00e4nden gut in einer Hand halten. Es d\u00fcrfte auch euch kaum gr\u00f6\u00dfer erscheinen als aktuell g\u00e4ngige Ger\u00e4te.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ist euch das dennoch zu gro\u00df, k\u00f6nnt ihr einfach mit einer Wischgeste von der unteren Bildschirmmitte nach unten den <strong>Einhandmodus einschalten<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u00dcberaus \u00e4sthetisch ist dieser Einhandmodus allerdings nicht. Daf\u00fcr sorgt auch die toll <strong>griffige R\u00fcckseite<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die ist in der Farbe &#8222;Phantom Black&#8220; auch h\u00fcbsch anzusehen, ja. Samsung hat eigens ein Video dar\u00fcber angefertigt, das Produktdesigner bei der Suche nach dem perfekten Schwarz zeigt. Kann man machen. Die M\u00fche wirkt auf mich aber ein wenig verschenkt, gehen wir davon aus, dass ihr das Ding mit einer passenden H\u00fclle nutzen werdet, wozu ich weiter unten noch rate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\nhttps:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=eQtVzO1Rs_w&#038;feature=emb_title\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Die zwei verbliebenen <strong>mechanischen Tasten<\/strong> (Ein-Aus und Lauter-Leiser-Wippe) besitzen einen angenehmen Druckpunkt und wackeln nicht.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extrapunkte vergebe ich daf\u00fcr, dass Samsung gegen\u00fcber dem S10 den <strong>Bixby-Button eingespart<\/strong> hat. Das war allerdings auch schon im Zwischenmodell <a href=\"https:\/\/trendblog.euronics.de\/mobile-web\/samsung-galaxy-s20-deshalb-hat-sich-fuer-mich-der-umstieg-vom-galaxy-s8-gelohnt-85195\/\">Galaxy S20<\/a> der Fall.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Statt mittig wie im S10 ist das <strong>Kameramodul nun an die Seite gewandert<\/strong> und ragt nun auch deutlich weiter heraus als im S20, um insgesamt etwa 2 bis 3 Millimeter.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Samsung orientiert sich damit eher am eigentlichen Vorg\u00e4nger, dem letztj\u00e4hrigen <a href=\"https:\/\/trendblog.euronics.de\/mobile-web\/samsung-galaxy-s20-ultra-5g-im-test-die-machtdemonstration-87093\/\">Spitzenmodell S20 Ultra 5G<\/a>. Immerhin schlie\u00dft das klobige Kameramodul nun mit dem Geh\u00e4userand ab. Das ist durchaus ansehnlich.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liegt das Ger\u00e4t auf dem Tisch, k\u00f6nnt ihr darauf sogar immer noch tippen, ohne dass es sich bewegt. Zumindest solange ihr im unteren Bildschirmdrittel bleibt. Als weitere M\u00f6glichkeiten kommen eine (obligatorische ) Pin und ein Muster zum Einsatz.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>W\u00e4hrend die <strong>Gesichtserkennung<\/strong> f\u00fcr mein Empfinden wieder einmal <strong>nicht die allerzuverl\u00e4ssigste<\/strong> ist, gerade bei schlechteren Lichtverh\u00e4ltnissen und dem Tragen vom Kopfschmuck, funktioniert der <strong>Fingerabdrucksensor im Display diesmal tadellos<\/strong>, weil blitzschnell. Den hatte ich im S10 nach einiger Zeit noch genervt ausgeschaltet.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Entwicklung des Smartphones begann offenbar schon weit vor der Pandemie. Gerade die hat jedoch gezeigt, dass Anwender ihr Ger\u00e4t am besten mit einem Fingerabdrucksensor im Ein-Aus-Schalter entsperren. Zumal auch das S21 Ultra eine Gesichtsentsperrung mit aufgesetztem Mund-Nasen-Schutz nicht erlaubt.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sch\u00f6n klingt auch die M\u00f6glichkeit, das Ger\u00e4t mit Hilfe der <strong>Smart-Lock-Trageerkennung <\/strong>entsperren zu lassen. Die soll dann erkennen, wenn ihr das Ger\u00e4t herumtragt, damit ihr es nicht jedes Mal entsperren m\u00fcsst. Die Linse, die ein starkes 240-mm-Tele\u00e4quivalent liefert, erkauft das mit einer eher lichtschwachen f\/4.9-Blende und mit 1\/3,24 Zoll einem sehr kleinen Sensor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bei Dunkelheit kam dabei in meinen Tests auch nicht mehr heraus als ein <strong>h\u00e4sslicher Pixelhaufen<\/strong>. allerdings Schw\u00e4chen. Sei es mit Unterst\u00fctzung von KI oder einer besonders hohen Lichtempfindlichkeit (dann leider zuweilen gepaart mit Rauschen): die Bilder sind immer hell genug. Auch nicht selbstverst\u00e4ndlich.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Display: Samsung setzt noch einen drauf<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Womit wir beim Thema Display w\u00e4ren \u2013&nbsp;seit jeher Samsungs besondere St\u00e4rke. Und das S21 Ultra bildet hier keine Ausnahme. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wie immer hat Samsung ein <strong>ph\u00e4nomenales OLED-Display<\/strong> eingebaut. Tolle Farben, echte Schwarzwerte. Und es liegt vom subjektiven Eindruck her noch vor dem des <a href=\"https:\/\/trendblog.euronics.de\/mobile-web\/samsung-galaxy-s21-ultra-5g-vs-iphone-12-pro-max-der-vergleich-92524\/\">iPhone 12 Pro Max, mit dem wir es verglichen haben<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Das vielleicht \u00dcberraschendste an diesem Display aber ist die Helligkeit. Samsung gibt in den technischen Daten &#8222;bis zu 1.500 nits&#8220; an. Das w\u00e4re fast zweimal so hell wie bei Mittelklasse-Displays. Und tats\u00e4chlich: Schraube ich die Helligkeit in den Einstellungen voll hoch, brennt es mir fast die Netzhaut weg. <strong>Samsung l\u00f6st hier ein f\u00fcr alle Mal das Problem zu dunkler Displays.<\/strong> Selbst im glei\u00dfenden Sonnenlicht erkennt ihr alles, was ihr m\u00fcsst. Doch hier kommt ein gro\u00dfes Aber: Das k\u00f6nnt ihr nicht mal eben schnell von Hand ausw\u00e4hlen. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Samsung stellt euch vor die Wahl zwischen standardm\u00e4\u00dfig 60 Hertz oder <strong>adaptivem 120 Hertz<\/strong>. Bei letzteren entscheidet das System, bei welcher Anwendung ihr die vollen 120 Hertz nutzen k\u00f6nnt. Die M\u00f6glichkeit, 120 Hertz direkt auszuw\u00e4hlen, fehlt in den Standard-Einstellungen leider. Der volumin\u00f6se 5.000-mAh-Akku des S21 Ultra war bei mir im Test tats\u00e4chlich kaum totzukriegen. Ich kam damit selbst bei verst\u00e4rkterer Nutzung wie f\u00fcr diesen Test locker \u00fcber anderthalb Tage. Bei m\u00e4\u00dfiger Nutzung schafft ihr auch noch weit mehr. Beim S10 war der Akku noch der gro\u00dfe Pferdefu\u00df des Systems gewesen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Durchaus schnell aufgeladen<\/strong> ist der Akku des S21 Ultra dank des 25-Watt-Ladesystems denn auch: Von etwa 10 auf 100 Prozent ging es bei mir in etwa 1:20h. Ja, es gibt Hersteller, die noch mehr Geschwindigkeit an den Tag legen. Samsung setzt hier aber auf einen ordentlichen Kompromiss aus Schnellladung und Akkuschonung.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Actioncam gleich eingebaut, OneUI immer besser<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Nettes Gimmick: Mit einer Extra-Funktion bei der Videoaufnahme k\u00f6nnt ihr die Verwacklung mit optischer Bildstabilisierung und KI reduzieren wie bei einer <strong>Actioncam<\/strong>. In einem Testvideo funktionierte das erstaunlich gut.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die Aufl\u00f6sung ist bei der Actioncam-Funktion allerdings auf Full HD und 60 Bilder pro Sekunde begrenzt. Ohne die Super-Sch\u00fcttel-Funktion k\u00f6nnt ihr Aufl\u00f6sungen bis hinauf zu <strong>8K bei 24 Bildern pro Sekunde<\/strong> w\u00e4hlen. Die Bildqualtit\u00e4t ist dabei gut.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Samsung setzt auf das aktuelle Android 11 und die neueste Version der eigenen Benutzer-Oberfl\u00e4che <strong>OneUI 3.1<\/strong>. Design ist oft eine Geschmacksfrage, aber ich bin ein gro\u00dfer Fan der Software. Sie bietet eine proportionale, elegante, wenig aufdringliche Designsprache \u2013 was fr\u00fcher nicht immer Samsungs St\u00e4rke war. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dazu kommen tolle Bord-Apps wie das simple aber leistungsf\u00e4hige <strong>Diktierger\u00e4t<\/strong> oder die <strong>Galerie<\/strong>, die es euch erlaubt, Fotos und Videos direkt an Ort und Stelle mit den wichtigsten Funktionen zu bearbeiten.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Die <strong>Aufnahmequalit\u00e4t der eingebauten Mikrofone<\/strong> ist wieder einmal ph\u00e4nomenal. So nehmt ihr mit dem bordeigenen Diktierger\u00e4t Aufnahmen praktisch ohne Brummen und Rauschen auf. Das hat unser Vergleichsger\u00e4t iPhone 12 Pro Max nicht geschafft.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Auch der <strong>Sound der Stereo-Lautsprecher<\/strong> ist erstaunlich gut. YouTube-Videos schaute ich damit beinahe lieber als mit meinem Notebook. Und auch unseren Standard-H\u00e4rtetest meisterte das S21 Ultra tadellos: den Song &#8222;Nightcall&#8220; von London Grammar auf voller Lautst\u00e4rke.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Und 5G?<\/strong> Ist theoretisch mit an Bord. Samsung gibt euch (\u00e4hnlich wie beim Adaptiven 120 Hertz) nur eine gemischte Auswahl und nicht die M\u00f6glichkeit, 5G zu forcieren. Besonders sch\u00f6n ist, dass die Akkulaufzeit diesmal stimmt, das Display weit und breit seinesgleichen sucht und vielleicht sogar, dass Samsung Nervfaktoren wie Bixby deutlich reduziert hat. Und wie immer bei Samsung scheint zu gelten: Was gerade technisch m\u00f6glich ist, ist auch drin.
